Michael Palin, britanski humorist i televizijska ličnost poznata zbog članstva u grupi Monty Python i putopisnim dokumentarcima, objavio je smrt svoje supruge Helen Gibbins koju je opisao kao "temelj njegovog života", piše Independent.co.

Par je upravo proslavio 57. godišnjicu braka, a Helen je imala 80 godina. Par ima troje djece: Thomasa (54), Williama (52) i Rachel (48), a upoznali su se kada su imali samo 16 godina.

Zvijezda Monty Pythona podijelila je tužnu vijest na svojoj web stranici, napisavši: “Moja najdraža supruga Helen umrla je mirno u ranim jutarnjim satima, u utorak 2. svibnja. Nekoliko je godina patila od kronične bolesti, kojoj je prije nekoliko godina pridonijela dijagnoza zatajenja bubrega."

Objasnio je i kakav je njihov odnos bio za vrijeme Helenina života.

“Prvi put smo se sreli na ljetovanju na obali Suffolka kada smo oboje imali 16 godina i vjenčali smo se u ranim 20-ima. Prije dva i pol tjedna proslavili smo 57. godišnjicu braka. Njena smrt je neopisiv gubitak za mene, naše troje djece i četvero unučadi. Helen je bila temelj mog života. Njezino tiho mudro prosuđivanje utjecalo je na sve moje odluke, a njezin humor i praktičan razum bili su u središtu našeg zajedničkog života", rekao je.

Prošle godine, Palin je rekao da je njegova supruga otišla na rehabilitacijsku njegu, nakon što nije reagirala na lijekove protiv bolova.

“To je tako naporno. Bila je tako aktivna i još uvijek je, mentalno. Ali oboje pomalo starimo. Tijelo propada. Ona će u listopadu napuniti 80 godina, ja ću 80 napuniti početkom sljedeće godine. Živimo život s prekriženim palčevima", rekao je tada.

Inače, sam Palin je 2019. bio podvrgnut operaciji srca kako bi popravio svoj mitralni zalistak. Prethodno je rekao da je njegova supruga često bila oprezna s njegovim odlaskom na opasna mjesta zbog putopisnih dokumentaraca.

"Pa, moja supruga me uglavnom potiče na duga putovanja, ali Irak, ne, nije htjela da idem u Irak, a ne ni u Sjevernu Koreju", rekao je prošle godine.

O svojoj dugogodišnjoj partnerici uvijek je govorio s poštovanjem i ljubavlju.

“Ona je vrlo tolerantna i dugo smo u braku. I ona zna da, ako ne odem i ne putujem, bilo bi nemoguće živjeti sa mnom jer bih stalno govorio, "oh, da sam sad u Iraku". Pa je rekla, "idi, ali pazi na sebe.""

Michael Palin, britanski humorist i televizijska ličnost poznata zbog članstva u grupi Monty Python i putopisnim dokumentarcima, objavio je smrt svoje supruge Helen Gibbins koju je opisao kao "temelj njegovog života", piše Independent.co.

Par je upravo proslavio 57. godišnjicu braka, a Helen je imala 80 godina. Par ima troje djece: Thomasa (54), Williama (52) i Rachel (48), a upoznali su se kada su imali samo 16 godina.

Zvijezda Monty Pythona podijelila je tužnu vijest na svojoj web stranici, napisavši: “Moja najdraža supruga Helen umrla je mirno u ranim jutarnjim satima, u utorak 2. svibnja. Nekoliko je godina patila od kronične bolesti, kojoj je prije nekoliko godina pridonijela dijagnoza zatajenja bubrega."

Objasnio je i kakav je njihov odnos bio za vrijeme Helenina života.

“Prvi put smo se sreli na ljetovanju na obali Suffolka kada smo oboje imali 16 godina i vjenčali smo se u ranim 20-ima. Prije dva i pol tjedna proslavili smo 57. godišnjicu braka. Njena smrt je neopisiv gubitak za mene, naše troje djece i četvero unučadi. Helen je bila temelj mog života. Njezino tiho mudro prosuđivanje utjecalo je na sve moje odluke, a njezin humor i praktičan razum bili su u središtu našeg zajedničkog života", rekao je.

Prošle godine, Palin je rekao da je njegova supruga otišla na rehabilitacijsku njegu, nakon što nije reagirala na lijekove protiv bolova.

“To je tako naporno. Bila je tako aktivna i još uvijek je, mentalno. Ali oboje pomalo starimo. Tijelo propada. Ona će u listopadu napuniti 80 godina, ja ću 80 napuniti početkom sljedeće godine. Živimo život s prekriženim palčevima", rekao je tada.

Inače, sam Palin je 2019. bio podvrgnut operaciji srca kako bi popravio svoj mitralni zalistak. Prethodno je rekao da je njegova supruga često bila oprezna s njegovim odlaskom na opasna mjesta zbog putopisnih dokumentaraca.

"Pa, moja supruga me uglavnom potiče na duga putovanja, ali Irak, ne, nije htjela da idem u Irak, a ne ni u Sjevernu Koreju", rekao je prošle godine.

Michael Palin, britanski humorist i televizijska ličnost poznata zbog članstva u grupi Monty Python i putopisnim dokumentarcima, objavio je smrt svoje supruge Helen Gibbins koju je opisao kao "temelj njegovog života", piše Independent.co.

Par je upravo proslavio 57. godišnjicu braka, a Helen je imala 80 godina. Par ima troje djece: Thomasa (54), Williama (52) i Rachel (48), a upoznali su se kada su imali samo 16 godina.

Zvijezda Monty Pythona podijelila je tužnu vijest na svojoj web stranici, napisavši: “Moja najdraža supruga Helen umrla je mirno u ranim jutarnjim satima, u utorak 2. svibnja. Nekoliko je godina patila od kronične bolesti, kojoj je prije nekoliko godina pridonijela dijagnoza zatajenja bubrega."

Objasnio je i kakav je njihov odnos bio za vrijeme Helenina život...
