Ljetos na “masteclassu” u sklopu Brač Film Festivala, britanski producent Graham Broadbent (“Kriminalci na godišnjem”, “Tri plakata izvan grada”, “Duhovi otoka”) spominjao je nadolazeće projekte. Jedan od njih, “Stranci” ili “All Of Us Strangers” Andrewa Haigha, doživio je kinopremijeru najesen.
Drugi “Predivna igra” (“The Beautiful Game”) premijerno se ukazao na Netflixu nekih pola godine kasnije, na samom izmaku ožujka. Broadbent je tom prilikom otkrio podrijetlo “Predivne igre”.

Naime, svake godine 60 zemalja odabere nogometni tim beskućnika i okupi ih na turniru, a ta se grupa ljudi jako dobro rehabilitira kroz to iskustvo. O tome je 2008. već snimljen dokumentarac “Kicking It”, prikazan na Sundanceu, koji je producirao glumac Colin Farrell. Kad je Broadbent pogledao dokumentarac predložio je Farrellu da produciraju film i odvedu britansku ekipu beskućnika na svjetsko prvenstvo u Rimu, a snimili su ga paralelno s “The Banshees Of Inisherin”.
I eto “Predivne igre” koju redateljski potpisuje Thea Sharrock (romantična drama “Tu sam pred tobom”), a scenaristički Frank Cottrell Boyce (“Tragovi prošlosti”, “Zbogom, Christopher Robin”). “The Beautiful Game” ima premijeru u pogodno vrijeme za nogometne filmove, nakon što je žanr nedavno živnuo s “Punim pogotkom”.
U pitanju je formulaični, no plemeniti i dobronamjerni komad sportske “underdog” drame koji intrigira nesvakidašnjom pričom (beskućnici na nogometnom terenu) i funkcionira za jedno ugodno gledanje nekog lijenog nedjeljnog popodneva, ako već ne doseže “Bijeg u pobjedu” i ne ulazi u anale žanra.

---Glavnu ulogu tumači uvijek pouzdani Bill Nighy (“Zapravo ljubav”, “Pravi trenutak”) i ovo je njegov prvi film nakon uloge života u drami “Živjeti”, zasluženo pozlaćene nominacijom za Oscara, a u zapaženoj sporednoj pojavljuje se Valeria Golino (“Kišni čovjek”, “Kakvi frajeri”, “Moja kći”).
Dopadljivi Nighy glumi umirovljenog nogometnog trenera Mala koji trenira beskućnike. Kad jednog dana u parku ugleda Vinnyja (Micheal Ward) kako rastura u nogometu, Mal mu odluči ponuditi mjesto u timu na međunarodnom nogometnom turniru. Prema zakonitostima žanra, obojica kriju emotivnu bol i osobnu dramu, ali svjetsko prvenstvo dolazi kao naručeno da to odganaju jer “to je mogućnost, druga prilika”, kako čujemo u jednoj sceni.
Film je pun sličnih poruka, tipa “nije važno pobijediti”, dok okuplja ekipu beskućnika za 20. po redu svjetsko prvenstvo beskućnika. “Neki su sjajni sportaši, neki jedva znaju šutirati”, ali zajedno su jači i na nogometnom terenu mogu pronaći osjećaj pripadnosti i nadoknaditi sve ono što nisu uspjeli napraviti u životu uz “moć i ljubav predivne igre”.

Priča slavi snagu nogometa i otpornost ljudskog duha, nadu koja može “preobraziti život”. Sve smo to već vidjeli i čuli, “Predivna igra” teško da je originalan i nepredvidljiv film, ali je human, inspirativan, ima srce i predivne lokacije; Rim je gotovo za zaseban lik i igra veliku ulogu kao domaćin svjetskog prvenstva, svakim idućim kadrom sve više pozivajući gledatelje da ga posjete i osjete njegovu vječnu čaroliju.
Tko želi nešto realističnije u pogledu ljudi bez krova nad glavom, može pogledati dokumentarac, no “The Beautiful Game” primarno želi biti nadahnjujuća i uzdižuća filmska sportska drama, a ne “kriška života”. Međutim, nogomet je svejedno metafora za život s udarcima i golovima koji se daju i primaju. “Igra je brza i ne čeka nikoga”, baš kao i život.

Naime, svake godine 60 zemalja odabere nogometni tim beskućnika i okupi ih na turniru, a ta se grupa ljudi jako dobro rehabilitira kroz to iskustvo. O tome je 2008. već snimljen dokumentarac “Kicking It”, prikazan na Sundanceu, koji je producirao glumac Colin Farrell. Kad je Broadbent pogledao dokumentarac predložio je Farrellu da produciraju film i odvedu britansku ekipu beskućnika na svjetsko prvenstvo u Rimu, a snimili su ga paralelno s “The Banshees Of Inisherin”.
I eto “Predivne igre” koju redateljski potpisuje Thea Sharrock (romantična drama “Tu sam pred tobom”), a scenaristički Frank Cottrell Boyce (“Tragovi prošlosti”, “Zbogom, Christopher Robin”). “The Beautiful Game” ima premijeru u pogodno vrijeme za nogometne filmove, nakon što je žanr nedavno živnuo s “Punim pogotkom”.
U pitanju je formulaični, no plemeniti i dobronamjerni komad sportske “underdog” drame koji intrigira nesvakidašnjom pričom (beskućnici na nogometnom terenu) i funkcionira za jedno ugodno gledanje nekog lijenog nedjeljnog popodneva, ako već ne doseže “Bijeg u pobjedu” i ne ulazi u anale žanra.

---Glavnu ulogu tumači uvijek pouzdani Bill Nighy (“Zapravo ljubav”, “Pravi trenutak”) i ovo je njegov prvi film nakon uloge života u drami “Živjeti”, zasluženo pozlaćene nominacijom za Oscara, a u zapaženoj sporednoj pojavljuje se Valeria Golino (“Kišni čovjek”, “Kakvi frajeri”, “Moja kći”).
Dopadljivi Nighy glumi umirovljenog nogometnog trenera Mala koji trenira beskućnike. Kad jednog dana u parku ugleda Vinnyja (Micheal Ward) kako rastura u nogometu, Mal mu odluči ponuditi mjesto u timu na međunarodnom nogometnom turniru. Prema zakonitostima žanra, obojica kriju emotivnu bol i osobnu dramu, ali svjetsko prvenstvo dolazi kao naručeno da to odganaju jer “to je mogućnost, druga prilika”, kako čujemo u jednoj sceni.
Film je pun sličnih poruka, tipa “nije važno pobijediti”, dok okuplja ekipu beskućnika za 20. po redu svjetsko prvenstvo beskućnika. “Neki su sjajni sportaši, neki jedva znaju šutirati”, ali zajedno su jači i na nogometnom terenu mogu pronaći osjećaj pripadnosti i nadoknaditi sve ono što nisu uspjeli napraviti u životu uz “moć i ljubav predivne igre”.

Priča slavi snagu nogometa i otpornost ljudskog duha, nadu koja može “preobraziti život”. Sve smo to već vidjeli i čuli, “Predivna igra” teško da je originalan i nepredvidljiv film, ali je human, inspirativan, ima srce i predivne lokacije; Rim je gotovo za zaseban lik i igra veliku ulogu kao domaćin svjetskog prvenstva, svakim idućim kadrom sve više pozivajući gledatelje da ga posjete i osjete njegovu vječnu čaroliju.
Tko želi nešto realističnije u pogledu ljudi bez krova nad glavom, može pogledati dokumentarac, no “The Beautiful Game” primarno želi biti nadahnjujuća i uzdižuća filmska sportska drama, a ne “kriška života”. Međutim, nogomet je svejedno metafora za život s udarcima i golovima koji se daju i primaju. “Igra je brza i ne čeka nikoga”, baš kao i život.
