Vlasnik dubrovačkog Importane Resortsa Ciril Zovko bio je jedan od najpoznatijih hrvatskih emigranata. Vratio se u Hrvatsku jer ga je zovnuo predsjednik Tuđman 90-ih godina. I tako je Zovko odlučio investirati u izgradnju shoping galerije u Zagrebu i dubrovački hotel Neptun.

Realno, tadašnji hotel Neptun je bio arhitektonski srednji prst, visoko podignut na ponti od Babinog Kuka. Jednom riječju - ruglo.

Ruglo je i danas. Samo betonizirano. Nekadašnje depadanse rekonstruirane su u pet hotela nazvanih resortom. Vila Elita svoje ime ničim nije zaslužila i to je to što nam je donio Tuđmanov investitor, ugledni emigrant koji je u hrvatski beton utukao 200 milijuna eura. Hvala mu i nadam se da se isplatilo.

Nisam protivnik, takozvanog, krupnog kapitala jer jedino takav može stvari pomaknuti naprijed. Ali to prije svega ovisi o čovjeku koji njime upravlja. U ovom slučaju to nije filantrop, poput Bill Gatesa, nego - eto - Zovko.

Što Dubrovnik, osim betonske mase, ima od građevinskog magnata kojeg je zovnuo prvi hrvatski predsjednik? Po onome što znamo, ne baš puno. Osim stalnih problema zbog kojih se traži reakcija kadrovski i organizacijski potkapacitiranih inspekcija i inih državnih tijela. Sjetimo se press kontejnera u Ulici kardinala Stepinca, vode ili kanalizacije koja je curila po šetnici Nika i Meda Pucića, uzurpacije dijela ove šetnice na način da je građanima bio onemogućen prolaz, pa sve do skandalozne tučnjave oko prilaza na pomorsko javno dobro.

Zadnja presuda Višeg upravnog suda dala je za pravo Matu Frankoviću i Gradu Dubrovniku kod proglašenja šetnice Nika i Meda Pucića komunalnom infrastrukturom. Tužbu je podnio Zovko, odnosno njegova tvrtka, smatrajući da šetnica na kojoj smo odrasli pripada - njemu.

Gle, ku..a?!

Svo to nadgornjavanje sa Zovkom je postalo više nego iritantno. Dubrovnik je nekad bio ponosan na svoje hotele. Bili smo ponosni na naše hotelske direktore, šefove sala, šefove recepcija... Sve je to bila naša čeljad i mi smo s tim hotelima živjeli. Uvodili smo "express šesticu" da bi gosti s Babinog Kuka mogli brže u Grad. S druge strane, i ti su hoteli živjeli s gradom. Djeca su zimi učila i trenirala plivanje, organizirale su se zabave, hoteli su pomagali klubovima, Gradu..

Može biti da ja ne znam, pa mi recite - što Dubrovnik danas ima od svojih hotela. Ima prdac. To su sve resorti, eksteritorijalni posjedi otuđeni od svega što ih okružuje. Takve hotele su mogli jeftinije sagraditi u Popovu polju.

Pa zašto nisu?

Zato jer bi onda morali investirati u odnos sa zajednicom. Trebalo bi uložiti u atraktivna događanja, infrastrukturu, posaditi cvijeće, napraviti parkove, šetnice, muzeje...možda bi trebalo osigurati i nekog liječnika, hitnu pomoć, autobus. I zato im je bolje ovdje jer od svega toga ne moraju baš ništa. Dubrovnik sam po sebi privlači goste, graska vlast se brine o infrastrukturi, muzejima, događajima, brine se o tome da turisti dobiju liječnika kad im treba, a hoteli - skupljaju vrhnje.

Nedavno sam pisao o tome da smo pretjeranom apartmanizacijom uništili hotelski biznis. Kad vidim da Zovko želi maznut moju šetnicu - moju jer sam njome šetao dok je on zgrtao pare po Kanadi, jer je mojim (našim) novcima uređivana - dođe mi žao što nisam napisao da oko njegovih hotela treba napraviti apartmansko naselje. Doista nemam ništa protiv bogatih investitora, ali ima protiv predatora.

I uopće nema veze ko je zovnuo Zovka. Neka on i ekipa nama sagrade neku šetnicu, kad su nam već (svojom investicijom) legli na grbaču.

Vlasnik dubrovačkog Importane Resortsa Ciril Zovko bio je jedan od najpoznatijih hrvatskih emigranata. Vratio se u Hrvatsku jer ga je zovnuo predsjednik Tuđman 90-ih godina. I tako je Zovko odlučio investirati u izgradnju shoping galerije u Zagrebu i dubrovački hotel Neptun.

Realno, tadašnji hotel Neptun je bio arhitektonski srednji prst, visoko podignut na ponti od Babinog Kuka. Jednom riječju - ruglo.

Ruglo je i danas. Samo betonizirano. Nekadašnje depadanse rekonstruirane su u pet hotela nazvanih resortom. Vila Elita svoje ime ničim nije zaslužila i to je to što nam je donio Tuđmanov investitor, ugledni emigrant koji je u hrvatski beton utukao 200 milijuna eura. Hvala mu i nadam se da se isplatilo.

Nisam protivnik, takozvanog, krupnog kapitala jer jedino takav može stvari pomaknuti naprijed. Ali to prije svega ovisi o čovjeku koji njime upravlja. U ovom slučaju to nije filantrop, poput Bill Gatesa, nego - eto - Zovko.

Što Dubrovnik, osim betonske mase, ima od građevinskog magnata kojeg je zovnuo prvi hrvatski predsjednik? Po onome što znamo, ne baš puno. Osim stalnih problema zbog kojih se traži reakcija kadrovski i organizacijski potkapacitiranih inspekcija i inih državnih tijela. Sjetimo se press kontejnera u Ulici kardinala Stepinca, vode ili kanalizacije koja je curila po šetnici Nika i Meda Pucića, uzurpacije dijela ove šetnice na način da je građanima bio onemogućen prolaz, pa sve do skandalozne tučnjave oko prilaza na pomorsko javno dobro.

Zadnja presuda Višeg upravnog suda dala je za pravo Matu Frankoviću i Gradu Dubrovniku kod proglašenja šetnice Nika i Meda Pucića komunalnom infrastrukturom. Tužbu je podnio Zovko, odnosno njegova tvrtka, smatrajući da šetnica na kojoj smo odrasli pripada - njemu.

Gle, ku..a?!

Svo to nadgornjavanje sa Zovkom je postalo više nego iritantno. Dubrovnik je nekad bio ponosan na svoje hotele. Bili smo ponosni na naše hotelske direktore, šefove sala, šefove recepcija... Sve je to bila naša čeljad i mi smo s tim hotelima živjeli. Uvodili smo "express šesticu" da bi gosti s Babinog Kuka mogli brže u Grad. S druge strane, i ti su hoteli živjeli s gradom. Djeca su zimi učila i trenirala plivanje, organizirale su se zabave, hoteli su pomagali klubovima, Gradu..

Može biti da ja ne znam, pa mi recite - što Dubrovnik danas ima od svojih hotela. Ima prdac. To su sve resorti, eksteritorijalni posjedi otuđeni od svega što ih okružuje. Takve hotele su mogli jeftinije sagraditi u Popovu polju.

Pa zašto nisu?

Zato jer bi onda morali investirati u odnos sa zajednicom. Trebalo bi uložiti u atraktivna događanja, infrastrukturu, posaditi cvijeće, napraviti parkove, šetnice, muzeje...možda bi trebalo osigurati i nekog liječnika, hitnu pomoć, autobus. I zato im je bolje ovdje jer od svega toga ne moraju baš ništa. Dubrovnik sam po sebi privlači goste, graska vlast se brine o infrastrukturi, muzejima, događajima, brine se o tome da turisti dobiju liječnika kad im treba, a hoteli - skupljaju vrhnje.

Nedavno sam pisao o tome da smo pretjeranom apartmanizacijom uništili hotelski biznis. Kad vidim da Zovko želi maznut moju šetnicu - moju jer sam njome šetao dok je on zgrtao pare po Kanadi, jer je mojim (našim) novcima uređivana - dođe mi žao što nisam napisao da oko njegovih hotela treba napraviti apartmansko naselje. Doista nemam ništa protiv bogatih investitora, ali ima protiv predatora.

I uopće nema veze ko je zovnuo Zovka. Neka on i ekipa nama sagrade neku šetnicu, kad su nam već (svojom investicijom) legli na grbaču.
